It took me a really long time to pass my driving test. I wouldn't like

It took me a really long time to pass my driving test. I wouldn't like to know how much I had spent on driving lessons. I had two driving lessons a week and then had further driving with in my dad's car at the weekend. He had to get insurance for me to drive his car. He found it expensive because his car was in a high insurance group. My driving lessons went on for two years and I was getting annoyed that I hadn't taken my driving test yet.

I put my dad's car in for the driving test. I failed that first driving test because I stalled it on a roundabout and didn't notice a stop sign by the harbour. I found a different instructor take me out for driving lessons. I decided to take just one driving lesson a week. That way I could enjoy my life more going out with friends. For my second driving test I took in my instructors car. I messed up backing around the corner and ended up on the pavement. I felt quite depressed failing again the third time. That time I had to do a turn in the road on a narrow coastal hill. That made me feel nervous and then I went too fast down the lane next to the golf course.

It was the forth time lucky for me for my driving test. The test went perfectly that time and I was so delighted that I hugged my driving instructor. My dad was over the moon with happiness when I got home. He gave me a cheque for two thousand pounds towards a car. I put it in my bank straight away. I looked in my local paper at car adds. They were all a bit too pricey so I had a look at a couple of my local garages.

I saw a nice little red car with three doors and it had quite low mileage. I asked if I could take it on a test drive. The dealer let me and I was happy with the way the car moved. It was for sale for two thousand and five hundred pounds. I asked the dealer if he could do a deal for me. I bargained it down to two thousand and two hundred pounds. I rushed off to the ATM machine to get two hundred pounds as my deposit. It took one week for all the paperwork to go thorough. I had to have insurance, road tax and an MOT.

My red car lasted for three and a half years. I had so much fun it it going out with my friends. I drove in to work and took it shopping. Now I have more money I have an orange camper van. My boyfriend and I go off in it most weekends. Last week we went to Bude in Cornwall and parked it close to the beach. I am having such a happy time now that I am a driver instead of a learner driver.
